The Black Lion is an independently operated destination pub at Consall Forge in the Staffordshire Moorlands. It occupies a spectacular rural setting between the Churnet Valley Railway, Caldon Canal and River Churnet. The pub placed third in the Staffordshire CAMRA County Cider and Perry Pub of the Year competition for 2026. Following refurbishment it is fully open again with real ale, cider, food, festivals and live events.
