OSCAR Birmingham is an independent registered charity supporting people affected by sickle cell, thalassaemia and related conditions. It provides information, advocacy, education, mentoring and practical support to individuals and families. The organisation also raises awareness of blood disorders through schools, colleges and community events. Its Charity Commission reporting is current and its Birmingham centre remains operational.
