Shrewsbury Mencap is a local independent charity supporting teenagers and adults with learning disabilities. It provides regular social activities that help members make friends, build confidence and access opportunities within their community. Although affiliated with the wider Mencap movement, the organisation operates as its own local independent charity. Its website is actively publishing 2026 programme dates and its Shrewsbury centre remains operational.
