The Wilderness is an independent Birmingham fine dining restaurant created by chef Alex Claridge. Its provocative tasting menus combine modern European cooking with experimental ideas and a distinctive rock and punk soundtrack. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2026 after years of recognition from the AA, Harden's and The Good Food Guide. It remains one of the city's most individual destination restaurants.
