Writing West Midlands is an independent registered charity and the literature development agency for the West Midlands. It supports writers at different stages of their careers while running creative writing opportunities for children and young people. Its work also includes literary events, professional development and the Birmingham Literature Festival. The Birmingham-based charity has current Charity Commission reporting and remains a major contributor to the region's cultural life.
